I was actually unable to find a synopsis of this book. All I know is that it's a collection of short stories. I love Melissa's books and cannot wait for this new faery book!

Title: Fracture
Author: Megan Miranda
Release Date: 3 Jan. 2012
Publisher: Walker Books for Young Readers
Pages: 224

Synopsis from Goodreads

Eleven minutes passed before Delaney Maxwell was pulled from the icy waters of a Maine lake by her best friend Decker Phillips. By then her heart had stopped beating. Her brain had stopped working. She was dead. And yet she somehow defied medical precedent to come back seemingly fine
-despite the scans that showed significant brain damage. Everyone wants Delaney to be all right, but she knows she's far from normal. Pulled by strange sensations she can't control or explain, Delaney finds herself drawn to the dying. Is her altered brain now predicting death, or causing it?

Then Delaney meets Troy Varga, who recently emerged from a coma with similar abilities. At first she's reassured to find someone who understands the strangeness of her new existence, but Delaney soon discovers that Troy's motives aren't quite what she thought. Is their gift a miracle, a freak of nature-or something much more frightening?

I have been wanting to choose Fracture for a while, but have had so many other amazing books to feature as well. And this is the closest I can find to a ghost book coming out that I've been waiting for. Really, where are all the ghost books? This one isn't even dead! Although, it sounds AMAZING, doesn't it? And I love the cover!

  1. I can't wait for Fracture. I'm not sure about the Melissa Marr one. I've had mixed opinions about her books. I love the cover though!

  3. That Fracture has a heck of a premise, right? I can't wait to hear what you think.

  4. I want to read the Faery Tales and Nightmares. I just love the cover, so creepy. Fracture does sound like a ghost type of story, but with a living person. I like the idea. Thanks for sharing
